Guidance and Counseling Department

 


The Guidance and Counseling Department shares in the responsibility of insuring that students attain their greatest potential educationally, socially, and vocationally. Working as a team, the counselors, teachers, administrators, child study team, student assistance counselor, nurse and parents help students achieve these goals. Counselors meet with students and parents to discuss school adjustment, college and post secondary educational and career planning and personal concerns.

The Guidance and Counseling Office is a mini-resource center which houses and disseminates information and provides informational sessions for all students on the following:

 

Students are encouraged to visit the Guidance Office before and after school to make an appointment. Parents are invited and encouraged to make an appointment to meet with their child’s counselor and/or teacher(s) by calling 973-347-7600 ext. 200.
