Fersch and Schubert Honored as Lenape Valley's Wendy's

High School Heisman Representatives

Lenape Valley Regional High School's Mark Fersch and Allison Schubert have been honored with a nomination for the coveted Wendy's High School Heisman Award. Awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman, this program celebrates the nation's top high school seniors who best exemplify a well-rounded "citizen-scholar-athlete."

Principal Mr. Doug deMarrais nominated these two promising leaders for their academic aptitude, athletic talent and exceptional commitment to their communities.

"We believe it's important to celebrate success in all facets of life," said deMarrais. "The Wendy's High School Heisman is the ultimate way to showcase students' diverse achievements for all to see."

Created in 1994 through a partnership between Wendy's and the Heisman Memorial Trophy, the Wendy's High School Heisman program has rewarded youth excellence for 12 years.

Schubert has been distinguished as a Lenape Scholar, a National Honor Society member and Foreign Language Honor Society member. Her extra-curricular activities include Madrigals and Chorus (Vice President), the International Friendship Circle (Secretary), athletic training, Peer to Peer Leadership, and Tri-M Music Society. Allison has been a three-year performer at the Varsity level in field hockey.

Fersch has been distinguished as a Lenape Scholar, a National Honor Society member (Sergeant-at-arms) and Foreign Language Honor Society member. He also has been three-year Dance Master and currently is President of the German Folk Club, the current (and two-time) Manager of the Interact club, a four-year student council member, a four-year Class Council member (Secretary, Treasurer, and two-time President) as well as a Peer to Peer Leadership and Tri-M Music Society member.
