About Mrs. Bitondo:

Mrs. Bitondo received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Recreation with a minor in Special Education from Marywood College, Scranton PA in 1981. Beginning in the summer of 1981, she taught gym and swim classes at the Montclair YMCA to children aged 6 months to 5 years until completing requirements for her Teacher of the Handicapped Certificate at Montclair State College in June of 1983. The following  Fall, Ms. Bitondo began teaching at Lenape Valley Regional HS.  In 1989 she completed her Master of Arts Degree in Learning Disabilities at Montclair State College and also received her Learning Disability Teacher-Consultant Certificate. 

The 2023-2024 school year marks the beginning of Mrs. Bitondo's 39th year at Lenape Valley Regional High School.  She spent 9 years as a Special Education Teacher before transferring to the Child Study Team, where she held the position of Learning Disability Teacher-Consultant for 23 1/2 years.  Currently she is back where it all started, in a Resource Program providing instruction in a pull out replacement setting as well as support in the general education classroom.

Mrs. Bitondo has been a resident of Byram, NJ for over 30 years, and both her children are Lenape Valley Regional HS graduates.
