Guidelines for NCAA Signing Day 2025-2026
To celebrate our student-athletes who will be continuing their athletic careers in college, Lenape Valley Regional High School has established guidelines for our annual Signing Day celebration. This event recognizes the dedication, perseverance, and success of our student-athletes as they move on to compete at the next level.
Background
Beginning with the 2024–2025 academic year, the National Letter of Intent (NLI) program was discontinued. As a result, Lenape Valley no longer aligns recognition ceremonies with NCAA signing periods. Instead, we will hold a single school-wide Signing Day each spring to celebrate all student-athletes who have formally committed to continue their athletic careers in college, regardless of division or level of competition.
Eligibility
Student-athletes are eligible to participate in Lenape Valley’s Signing Day once they have:
Officially committed to a college or university to participate in an intercollegiate athletic program (NCAA Division I, II, or III; NAIA; or NJCAA), and
Received confirmation of their roster spot from the college coach or athletic department.
Acceptable documentation of commitment may include:
A written commitment letter from the college,
An email or letter from the college coach confirming the roster spot, or
An official announcement from the college’s athletic program.
